Isle of Arran Music School has been nominated for two awards at the MG ALBA Scots Trade Music Awards 2022.

A nominee is in Community Project of the Year while previous Junior Pipe Band tutor Ross Miller has been nominated in the Music Tutor of the Year category.

The award winners will be announced at The Caird Hall, Dundee, on Sunday 4 December, where a number of well-known acts will perform.

The public can help the music school win the award by voting at https://projects.handsupfortrad.scot/scotstradmusicawards/voting/

Quinton Black, chairman of the School of Music, said: ‘Thank you to those who have supported us from afar, especially our brilliant community. We couldn’t have done it without you. We are absolutely delighted to be up for an award and recognize Ross for his talented contribution as our music teacher.

‘Please vote for Ross and us. We are grateful for the continued support for our wonderful community band.’

Voting ends at midnight on Sunday, November 20.

This will be the 20th MG ALBA Scots Trade Music Awards.
